Very nice haul of spikes. What MD mode are you using? I would use all metal mode in that camp. No coins or jewelry yet?

Using all metal mode,I am having a hard time finding any coins or anything because of the amount of iron I am hitting. I can tell ya one thing as a beginner,after this run I will have learned a lot. If this indeed is the camp I have been looking for we should have a good week. You guys will be the first to know,love the site.

You found a great, great site and are doing really well. I figure that those strong signals from the iron stuff overwhelms your machine, but as soon as you keep cleaning the ground from iron, the other stuff will show up.  Wink

Yes, we have cleaned so much everything that you have seen and much much more,and thats not counting all the alum cans and tops along the way. I am going to rework my way back thru the way I came in one day at least I know that i will be able to tone down my detector going back. I try to do it when i come out but I am hauling so much iron and equipment and trying to walk fast from the dang bull its hard.

thats pretty cool. For me treasure isnt all about gold and jems. Some people call then relics, I call them my historical treasure. I love history and love to see how they did things back in the day.
