I think you might be lucky on this one. Some people will tell you that a diamond will scratch glass, while CZ will not. This is becoming less true. The new CZ can scratch glass just like regular diamonds. CZ ranges between 8.5 to 9.0 on the Mohs hardness scale, whereas diamond, one of the hardest materials known to man, is rated 10, lying at the top of the hardness scale?
There are testers availabe, but the best bet would be to see an expert. (A trusted expert) He can look in a powerful magnifier for you.
Just a guess on my part, but with it being 14K gold, you stand a better change of it being diamonds than say a 10k ring.
