ok, sorry , i'm new here.

so , this bell was found in north east france (lorraine)in the forest.,this region of france has been populated and operated at all times.
Gauls, Romans, medieval and more.

a google translate for more info :

"The history of Lorraine is rich, here is a short summary.

The earliest traces of civilization dating back to the fifth century BC, but Lorraine as we know it today is the fruit of the kingdom created for the Carolingian Lothair 1 Lotharingia. While his brothers received the Francies (Western France) and Eastern (Germany), they conspire against Lotharingia by the Oaths of Strasbourg in 842 and soon so not to dismember their benefit.

The duchy, whose capital is Nancy, is then integrated to the Holy Roman Empire until 1542. In the fifteenth century, the Duchy was the envy of France but also Burgundians, mostly under Charles the Bold, saw there, the missing link to the territorial continuity between Burgundy and Flanders. Charles the Bold found elsewhere killed in a battle where the stakes were Lorraine at the Battle of Nancy in 1477.

Lorraine also has its cultural influences of France (the language barrier through the Duchy). The kingdom of France will also constantly taking control of territories in Lorraine. Starting with the Three Dioceses (Metz, Toul and Verdun) acquired by Henry II in the "Voyage of Germany" in 1552. In 1648 the Three Dioceses are formally united to France by the Treaty of Westphalia. The Duchy of Lorraine was occupied by Louis XIV, but it regained its independence with the Duke Leopold, who will build up to the famous castle of Luneville to show its commitment to the restoration of Lorraine. This castle will be hosting a high local historical figure: Stanislas Leszczynski (1677-1766). (See photo album)

This was a very important player of the Enlightenment in Nancy following the repeated destruction of Louis XIII and Louis XIV in wars. Duke of Lorraine from 1737 to his death and former king of Poland, he gave the city a unique architectural ensemble (Place Stanislas) adapted to the glory of his son Louis XV. Its role in social ahead of his time with collective action was not significant: schools, public libraries, help the poor, hospitals, etc.. A mixed review, however, as these initiatives were used to make the transition to France.

In 1790 that the first Lorraine departments are created, they are four in number: Meuse, Meurthe, Moselle and Vosges.

In 1891, the German Empire, the Treaty of Frankfurt, was awarded the territories corresponding to the Moselle Lorraine present. An award that will remain effective until 1919 (Treaty of Versailles). The choice is then offered to the public to choose which country they want to live (then Nancy will double its population from Metz). However this time it remains today the unique characteristics of the Moselle (local law and the bankruptcy regime).

WW1 severely affect Lorraine who will be carried on one of the longest battles and the deadliest of the war. At Verdun, in 1916, thus several villages were destroyed and never rebuilt. The human toll was catastrophic, with nearly 300,000 deaths. This region is also highly historic called "Red Zone".

The two world wars will be building the Maginot Line in Lorraine. Insufficient, Mosel will be re-annexed in 1940, until his release in 1944-45 by General Patton.

The 2nd World War after which Lorraine has suffered, will prove to be a prosperous period for the Economy Lorraine. Thus, thanks to its reserves of raw materials virtually intact, Lorraine welcomes many immigrants (Italy, Poland). This will mean creating overcrowding, however, by advancing to the rank of 3rd Lorraine French economic hub. Indeed, the industry will enjoy a floral lorraine its success before being faced with international competition in the years 1970-80 which will result in Lorraine in a period of crisis and inevitable conversion to the tertiary sector."

other finds arround was ww2 objects only.
