Forty minutes into it yesterday, i hit this:

(Don't worry about that digging tool, this is bahia grass, a clump grass, and it's still attached, and went back down, no hole whatsoever. Those prongs are great for pulling bahia grass plugs up on one side, leaving it attached, without doing any damage.)


18k, 7.45dwt. Melt value yesterday: $454. This is the same field I got a 14k wedding band on Sunday.

Perfect for getting under bahia grass; it's a bunch grass whose root ball is very tenacious. I broke 3 of these things (1 cast, 2 welded, mostly on tree roots) until I found this one, forged, one piece head. Targets tend to be under the bahia root ball, rather than in them.
