Thanks. Double headed on top of everything. Like GD said, a true mystery I must solve.

Hey folks, I may have another clue about how the medal made it to a Chicago park. I found out that in 1959 the 3rd Pan-American Games were held in Chicago and the swimming competitions were all held in that park's olympic pool. Canada was the only Pan-American competitor with a French link (Quebec). Not sure about it though, but Quebec has produced excellent swimmers for olympic games. Thus there is a possibility that competitors or fans exchanged tokens from their countries and since Quebec has a French origin, they might have exchanged French tokens. Any comments?
