Hi i found these buttons they were about 50 or so metres apart. I would like to know how old they are an do you think they could of came from the same piece of clothing? There was a few musket balls in the area too. Are they navy buttons? Thanks for looking. Lee

Hi Lee,
They are Naval buttons after 1850 before that they were solid and either brass or pewter.
The ones I find here in Canada are from the 1812 period and are both brass and pewter .........HH.......Johnnn

Thanks for your help. I a bit gutted about my brooch!  lol it is lead and is from the uk. Horse jewlery i havnt thaught of that! looks alot like a pin brooch tho  Grin
