Go Up Go Down

Went to the back end of a small park where I recently learned a home once stood and had a fantastic 2hrs  Grin
Walked over a bunch of chatter on the way into the area and decided to bypass it and continue on, stopping at a strong hit only 15' past the chatter...first dig of the day, my first Susan B! Clapp
Decided to turn back around and see just what all that chatter was about. Switching to all metal, I realized these were coin sized objects...spent the remainder of the hunt squatting, digging and hitting coin after coin, in about a 10X10' area until I got rained out Shocked
How about the 11 nickels and NO dimes Shocked
I'm learning that trying to find logic in coin spills is about useless Tongue
Trash was nil...so nice for a change Smiley

Great finds!

Isn't it amazing what we humans drop? Most treasure hunters are very careful with their belongings having seen so much left behind by the passing hoi polloi. I recall an estimate I read decades ago where each person will lose more than $500 over a lifetime. Probably higher now since gold is so high.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

A nice collection of dirty money, my favorite kind!    Grin
One of these days we will get together and hunt down some silver.

Hector, the top coin is a Sacagawea dollar coin. I don't see your Susan B. Anthony.  Undecided
