Hi friends! Well I went back out today and thought I'd give a old hunting ground a shot. There wasn't much to be found at first, then I came across the usual suspects... Clad. I was finding tons of old pull tabs which is normally a good sign that no one has bothered to pull out that pesky Gold either  Funny. Any-who after about my 400th pull tab up pops this little gem. The Hallmark reads PM850 there is also a very faint stamp above it reading 035. It has a nice stone in it but there is no ct stamp so I'm not sure if its a diamond yet but who puts a CZ in a Platinum ring? lol. So here she is my very first platinum ring! Thank you patience and of course thank you Minelab for making the CTX3030!

Lol 400 may be a bit of an overstatement. Non the less it was quite a few, and yes it weighs quite a bit. I don't have a scale just yet but one is on the way!!

Thats a nice pile of goodies, at that rate you'll pay for that 3030 in no time! I think I'm to about a thousand pull tabs so far in two and a half months. Before I got the detector I never would have imagined that everyone enjoyed pulling the tops off cans so very much. I can understand back in the day when you had to remove it to quench your thirst, but now there is no reason to pull them off  Huh?

That's a good question, funny I never really asked how or why so many pull tabs get separated from their cans. I suppose they just know were comming lol.

Before I got the detector I never would have imagined that everyone enjoyed pulling the tops off cans so very much.

Beverage companies spent millions of dollars and expended countless engineering hours designing the tab that would stay with the can and it takes a bonehead drunk 2 seconds to defeat it.

Go figure.
