Hi John / Muggs,
The badge is either boy scout or or a French medic badge, I would throw away the pin pointer I have never used one in 40 years of detecting it seams to take up a lot of valuable detecting time
interesting video nice looking farm.....Johnnn

I have one of those detectors that goes so deep you feel as if you might reach Australia in two or three more scoops so a pinpointer saves me a truckload of time. It helped me locate a silver Mercury dime at 20 inches just last week. I was about to give up but both the detector and pinpointer kept agreeing. Who am I to argue?

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Never used a pin pointer but a few times.  If you know your detector you can get within inches.   I don't want to play the game.
