I found this U S A  dog registration tag on an Australian beach
It is from Madision County DATE 1921 also a small silver cross
any ideas

Probably lost when on a vacation down
your way in 1921 or there abouts. Supprised
you could still read the lettering on the dog
tag after all these years. Most of them didn't
seem to hold up very well in the surf and sand.
