Hi Lee,
We are usually cooling down about now but the Mosquitoes and other biting bugs are still around till October, yesterday was here in Ontario a record high.
I think the rest of your message was related to my UK visit, I only got out for a few hours and I had my Granddaughter and new friend with me so detecting was limited, I did post the finds, and look forward very much for a few days at this location next visit......HH...Johnnn

Hello:
The way that pile of shells are crimped looks like the blank rounds we used back in Army basic training,out in the dunes of fort Ord.

Hi Screwcap,
I found two locations where these shell casings were, there were also dozens of steel linkage clips I assume they are part of the belt which the casings were held together, I already had too many shell casing from the WW1 area so I left these where they were.
