Found my first ring. But unsure if it's junk or silver. It says Thailand NF 925. Does that mean Non Ferrous silver ? The 9 is hard to see. Is there a 625 or a 825 type of marking ? Need some help.

I believe the "NF" indicates "nickel filled" with sterling silver plating. Or the NF could be a Hall Mark but I have my doubts about that
Thailand is the country of manufacture

Even junk ring - it's still a great find. I really got excited when I found my first junk ring. Gave it to my daughter, and she was thrilled. I can hardly wait to get my first real ring and let the $$ do the talking to my wife.
Then - she'll start believing in this hobby.

So silver plated nickle. Better than tin I guess. LOL. Looked like copper when I pulled it from the scoop. Guess the sun was playing tricks on my eyes. Didn't really look at it till I got home. And , wasn't expecting any markings inside at all. But , like you said , it's still a cool find. Any ring beats the crap out of a pull tab ! Got out for about six hours and had a great time. Thanks guys.
