Among the goodies I found last Saturday in the woods, I forgot to list perhaps the best find of the day, a Super Trackerstick GPS. I downloaded the free software, packed the stick with batteries and hooked it to my computer. It works like a charm!!  Musican Those devices cost anything between $175-300. Shocked The 4MB memory was clear and the only part missing is the belt clip. Maybe a cyclist lost it by a trail or something. I tested it today going to the woods and it recorded the entire route and even my hunt in the woods.  I exported the recorded route to Google Earth and saw it segment by segment. It was so cool  Cool One great feature is that one can geotag digital pictures taken. That's perfect for tagging pictures in places were treasures were found and one wants to redo later! But the best feature is that it can be used anywhere in the planet Great

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

This one I noted is off track a little, but in general it gives you a very good outcome! I think it is because it loses satellite signal at times. Yet, my log in the woods was perfect. It also let you know your hunting patterns. I think it is a great companion device for MD, although expensive  :-

Way to go!  That is a very cool find!  And speaking of Mars, I know there are lots of artifacts ther...   I've seen the movie of "The Martian Chronicles"!

"The Martian Chronicles" were a TV  mini-series made in the '80's from a bunch of Ray Bradbury short stories, all set on Mars.
