GARRET AT PRO,MINELAB 705 & GARRETT PRO POINTER
« on: April 01, 2013, 04:43:54 pm »
Go Up Go Down

Picked up a XTERRA 705 and started going over my yard again with it
I had already gone over my yard 2-3 times with my AT PRO and wasn't finding much of anything with it had dug all the good signals I was hearing with the ATP

The difference was the targets I found with the 705 were deeper then the ATP COULD DETECT

IT WASN'T until I stopped getting good target reading that I decided to try the 705 I probably have a 10 pound box of trash targets I had detected AND dug up with the ATP

This is no knock on the ATP

But this is a few of things that the ATP MISSED

The difference was the targets I found with the ATP were not as deep as the ones I have found with the 705

I absolutely love the XTERRA 705

I believe the ATP IS A GOOD detector but in my opinion the 705 is quite a bit better

The 1941 merk was 10 plus inches down as was the Indian head Buffalo five cent piece
The old toy car was some where around 12 inches deep

Need to edit my post to read the targets I found with the ATP was not as deep

I think I would have probably have found them to begin with had I been using the 705

The merc was under a root of a tree that I had to remove
The Indian head and merc was also within a 5 ft area that I got vary few readings from the ATP

Well considering I hunted my yard with  the ATP for about four months and found a lot of things with it I never said it was a bad detector its just the things I am finding now are deeper
I even went as far as taking both the 705 and the ATP OUT TOGETHER and when I would find a deep target with the 705 before I wuld ever dig that target I would a re scan with the ATP d it would not give even a low tone or hint there was anything there so I ould are scan with the 705 and are pin point and then dig

So in my opinion the ATP is not as deep as the 705
