This is a first for me. I went up to a local school AT NIGHT, and hunted in an overgrowth unpaved parking lot. I have left my primary digging tool a few hits back and headed back to find it and start my trek home. I dropped my coil over some tall weeds and got a big hit, so I reached down to pick up what I fully expected to be my tool, and it was a Cell Phone.
After I got home, I started examining my finds. When I got to the cell phone, I was surprised that it turned on immediately and was nearly fully charged. So I started looking for contacts and recent calls to determine the best number to call so I could return it. I noticed that the phone had not been used in three weeks. So it was apparently there sitting in the brush, waiting for me to find it. -). I called the to most frequenly called numbers (Home and Dustin ) and got busy signals. I called the one other number and got no answer. Services was cut off as the phone was reported missing.
The next day, a lady calls me to see who was on her caller ID. I knew it was about the phone, so I told her I found this phone and it was red. She was so excited because the phone belong to her disabled neice who couldn't afford to replace it and the Service Provide was giving her a difficult time about having lost to phone. She came over and picked the phone up immediately. She thanked me, twice and insisted on a hug.
Treasure sometimes isn't finding Gold, Silver or Relics. Sometimes, it's giving back something someone thought was lost forever. . Kinda gives you warm and fuzzy feeling inside.
