Its a Mardi Gras token from the Krewe of the Knights of st Yago. Most krewes around here change the design year to year so if you contact someone in the Tampa krewe they may beable to help date it.

Same principle as the mardi gras tokens (and San Antonio had/has tokens for their Fiesta week).  As Seldom said, the design usually changes at least slightly from year to year, so it might be possible to date the token if you can contact the right people.

generally are.....In most places, each krewe has its own float.    In some places, though, each krewe can put on it's own parade if it's big enough.
