Go Up Go Down

Got out after work for an hour on a field I have been hoping to detect.  This field is at the edge of a town founded around 800 AD.  Was driving by when I saw a tractor beside this field and thought just maybe it?s the owner.  I was right and was granted permission to detect and it will not be planted until spring however, it is a rough plowed leg breaker.  It was tough going but I managed a few finds.  Would have detected longer but, we set our clocks back last weekend and it gets dark earlier now, 05:30PM lights out and I wasn?t prepared for a night hunt, I WANT MY HOUR BACK, daylight savings time my butt!  Wish I was at home celebrating Halloween with my kids!  Being American I have pushed our holidays onto my German raised children.  We have carved a few pumpkins every year and usually raise the pumpkins ourselves except this year, Crud!!! Here?s the finds and sorry about the bad picture.  A small caliber musket ball, a doodad maybe from a piece of furniture or harness decoration and a shotgun shell.  Was good to be out swingin and HH, Mike

Hello Mike,

I hate these shotgun shells! Whenever I hit one, my first thought is "wow! a huge solid old copper coin!" ... until I take a closer look and see that it is just another shot gun shell  Angry

Regards,

Christian

Anyone know if shotgun shell casings like the one in the photo have any value? It seem like there's a market for everything these days but I have never heard of a shell collecting organization or club.
