Farmer has just cut the crops on one of my better fields  Shocked So had 3 hours on it to day . Detecting Best find was this Henry VI Halfgroat ,mint Calais 1422-30 annulet issue . Well pleased . Great

Wow, that is so cool to unearth something that probably was dropped over 500 years ago. How much was a half groat worth back when it was minted? a quick search says in the neighborhood of 65 pounds today.
