What is better then where it all started from. The people that shaped and changed the lives not only of the country we live in, but the whole world 225 yrs later. I am talking about our founding fathers of the American Revolution. From the brave men who lived in the wilderness, i like to look around the old stone foundations, and big tree's that i know were there for 300 years. These people collected early americana of there day, and treasured them as there most valuable item. I also love to scout untouched areas where i know American Revolutionary soldiers encamped for months at a time. I currently hunt in an area i know had roughly 7200 soldiers and 500 civilians for 1782-1783 under H. Gates and Washington. The area is untouched for the most part by modern man. heavy brush and swamp, but fruits are worth it, if your a GW Hunter as myself. This turned 2 fruits of labor. wedged in between 2 pieces of slate jutting out of the ground was a horseshoe from an officers horse, second from this tree was a soldiers buckle ~ i considered great condition! GW Hunter out,

Man, you are my Hero! I wish I had places like that to hunt here in southern Indiana, You hunt the kind of places I like to hunt, deep in the woods and untouched! Please keep posting, and share you hunting storys. Can you tell me more about the Washington buttons on who got them how many may have been made and how far out they have been found!
Thanks! Erik, "Tell City, Indiana." Pray

RJ39NY, I second what earth whisper said. Wish I was in your area hunting with you. Not too much history in Minnesota. Hopefully you will come back to this site on occasion and keep us updated on your adventures and finds.

Thats cool, Nice shoe buckle! Im glad to hear people talk about history and the for fathers because it was a struggle for years to make this country the way it is today, and each piece that i see someone has dug or I have dug, thats it, it hits you like a ton when you think that you were the next person to touch it since a long ago struggleing nation! Your mind wonders who, why, how, when! Its just amazeing! " Thanks for shareing your post, keep us updated on your finds because their amazeing!"
 Thanks!    Erik Great
