Go Up Go Down

Greetings all, I spent the past 3 mornings searching the parking lot at a fairgrounds near my home.
16 rows of goodies, I had to quit by noon because the sun was beating down something fierce.
Okay, not like Florida, Arizona, Texas, or other oven like places, but fierce for NW Washington.
I have finished 9 rows, with 7 more to go, I should have them done by this weekend.
Today I decided to include some of the not so pretty items just to show I pick up trash too.
I stopped on the way back to the domicile at a lake park and picked up enough lead to go fishing myself.
Among the other goodies is a Sterling silver and turquoise bracelet (needs straightening), a butterfly mood ring,
a Tulalip Casino pin, a little monster, a couple of butterfly clips/pins, a stone bracelet, 30-30 shell casing,
a small metal bear, a small rhinestone button, and enough pull tabs + bottle caps to fill a small lunch bag.
Whew, I'm tired just typing in all the goodies, never mind bending over and picking them all up.
Another detectorist showed up around 10AM, but left soon afterwards without a howdy.

The best find of the day was a visit by a gentleman walking his black cocker spaniel, telling me about a
diamond wedding ring his mother lost up on their property a few years ago.  He asked how much it would
cost for a personal hunt, I suggested that we might work on a reward basis, if I found his mother's ring, and
he felt it was worth a reward, I would let him decide on the compensation.  No ring, no cost for the hunt on his
property.  He supplied his business card and I will be contacting him soon to schedule a visit.
Wish me luck.  HH and thanks for looking, Robroy59

Nice, Robroy!  Good contact you made with the guy that wants you to hunt for the ring.  I finally just got to where if somebody wants me to hunt for something, if I find it I just request permission to take pictures and write and article about it.  Never been refused yet!  They don't have to give me anything and I do all the work and if the article sells, it pays off for me!
