Go Up Go Down

From the land of the Bluenose.....the plan was to go out for a half hour and just "stretch' the knee a tad.  With Marie at her mother's I just zipped over to a local school to get my fix.  A light snow had been failing all day but didn't stay......didn't cover up this!  What ever happend to pride in your school?  Something is not being taught to our young students.....your children!

Anyway hit a few coins, scratched my head and had a few deep Bluenoser moments;
1. This mess was enough to help me decide never to donate to a school fund.
2. I know they make bolt action rifles for left handers but why doesn't my beloved Garrett make left hand detectors?

Go Up Go Down

There was a park I used to frequent in Memphis, TN many yeaqrs ago. In that park was an old handball court with a fence around the top to keep the balls from going too far. One day, as I was detecting the grass at the top of the back wall, I looked up and saw a $20.00 bill that had been blown there and stuck in the chain link. I looked around and found 3 ones inside the court mixed in among hundreds of pieces of paper. It seems the wind was the bad guy and the bills were blown in from who knows where. All I know is it became the first place I looked before I even turned on my detector. I must have found nearly $100 over the time I was there just on weekends. I'm surprised nobody else knew about the "magic collection point" at the handball court. Even then, handball was not the most popular sport. I never saw anyone using it.

That old park gave up an awful lot of silver, too.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
