hiya all i had an enjoyable day at the dig it was good chatting to jim and filternozzle and the sun stayed with us all day i found part of a buckle,two lead items,five buttons,a one penny,two half pennys i dont know what the big iron thing is or the star shaped item or the little round thing anyone any ideas

Nice picture krango41, any background on the area where these were found?
The middle far left item looks like a knockout from a metal box, like an electrical panel.
Unless that is one of your pennies, I cannot see the reverse side well enough (tough getting old).
The little round item looks like a button, and the star item looks familiar but the gray cells are
not processing any solutions at this time. Thanks for the post, HH Robroy59

hiya all the area we were digging is called bannockburn around the area of the War of Scottish Independence (the film braveheart) and the middle row are all buttons except the star shape one

Good work Krango. I spent all day cleaning up the mess Hurricane Irene left.
No damage here just a day of rakeing and washed the house. Now it is supposed
to rain all week from that storm called 'LEE". Can't win ,its that time ofthe year.
Just messes up my Detecting time.ARR!

so sorry to here you got caught up with the Hurricane and im glad your house didnt get damaged as for the rain we get it more than sun in scotland if we get one sunny day we will have two wet ones
