Go Up Go Down

Due to the limited amount of  light before and after work I havent been able to get out much the last few weeks. Had today off so I went and picked up my boy from school and we hit the lake for a couple hours. I found another silver ring, tiny unicorn gold earring, and a couple junk rings. Up to 4 silver, 1 gold and 6 junkers so far; the class ring that I found a couple weeks back tests as silver. Smiley The small gold earring couldnt be detected I just happened to see the unicorns horn poking out of the clay. Does anyone know the smallest size of gold the omega will pick up? Found the 50 cent piece the other morning in a 10 minute hunt at the park, my first half dollar. Although my youngest son found a presidential dollar today without a metal detector, dont you just hate it when the kids show you up Grin

Great finds, Caleb!   Great   Curious about where you hunt.  Do you beach hunt, parks or schools, tot lots, or where? (Okay, never mind...  I see it does say "Lake!")   You've been making some really nice finds!                Detecting

Go Up Go Down

Thanks guys, I went back out for a couple hours today. Ive pretty much cleaned out the swimming area now pickings are getting pretty slim. Ive figured out a way to get gps coordinates for the houses that used to reside in the lake bottom, I will be moving on to those next. @ Arfie, I have been hunting every spot I can think of. Most weekday mornings I spend about 20 minutes in a park in town before work, I have also been hunting the reservoirs in the area and have gone over a couple old schools. Ive been mapping out spots to go, but have been concentrating on the swimming areas hoping for jewelry and have done fairly well although no big gold yet.
My big find of the day was a bi-centennial quarter, the only jewelry of the day was a plated hoop earring.
