Hi all. I happened to get out for a bit today and recovered a few items. One item was especially interesting. I apologize for the pictures but hope that they will work for this.
I found this token today and am trying to find out anything more about it or at least verify what it is. On one side it says "Good for 1 cent" on the back side it states "F.B. ORR, Dealer in hardware, Iron & nails, Mansfield, O.
From what I can tell it appears that this token dates to between 1861-1865. Am I correct with this? Can anyone provide anymore info about this token? Any ideas or suggestions to try and clean it or leave it alone?
Thanks in advance for any and all comments.
The last two outings have also produced 3 silver dimes(1912, 1942, 1957), a few wheats with the oldest being 1911, a 1916 Buffalo nickel and a pocketful of clad.
