Here is some of the more interesting pieces of brass I have found over the past few months. These were tumbled in sand for 8 hours to clean them up. Detecting Waiting for the sun to come up gambol

Hector, you called it pretty close. This is a part of Florida that people didn't have much to do except shoot their guns. There is a story behind the keys. They all came from the same place in one pile. I came across a wall safe out in the woods. Someone had cracked it and the door and the safe were discarded in the bushes beside the trail. I found these car keys on the trail and the bolts that held the safe to the wall. I searched a wide circle around the safe thinking that the safe crackers would probably have thrown anything incriminating as far as they could. I found a change purse that has been slit open with a knife about 20 feet away......Last week I came across a burnt up motorcycle in the woods. Gambol

avision, I believe I posted about the time I found a vacant lot with pennies all over it. After some investigation I came to the conclusion that someone had been stealing newspaper racks and taking them to the lot to rip them apart. I found the pennies first, then a metal ID plate with a patened number that turned out to be for a coin box then I found the remains of several racks behind some trees. gambol
