It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

 Crazy
I do that from time to time and don't realize it.
I meant (in English)

"That is an outstanding find."

You know, I thought your fingers had slipped on the home row of your keyboard. I'm a touch typist and had that happen during a magazine article I was writing and the funniest paragraph in the world emerged while I wasn't looking.

I have done something similar, but not quite as funny..

I would advise anyone who tends to be "adult" in their language and is joking with someone as they type to pay attention when typing names like "Dr. CURT Monson"...
(I will leave it to your imagination)

he was not amused...

Congratulations!  Wow, Lee.  A gold ring.  And the coin looks great, too.  Let us know what happens with getting back in to look further.  Continued success!     Debra

I am really gutted!  No no!  The site where i found the ring the mounds of earth have been spread into a hill and topsoil has been spread over the top of the old earth, Its also been seeded with grass seed. They dont seem to hang around building in this town! I have been tempted to just do it but the top soil must be 6" deep   Cry  GUTTED!   Lee         Detecting

Hey, Lee.  It's Debra again.  I read your post and was so disappointed for you.  Then I remembered something we've all probably heard since the cradle:  Don't cry over spilled milk.  Thing is, you could substitute "topsoil and grass seed" and be right-on.  Keep your momentum.  Like they say in waiting lines - "Next!"  After all, you're the one who just scored a Gold Ring!  I'd put some of the animated critters in here, but I don't know how.  I say you're a Big Winner!    Debra
