Yes...it does seem to have a faster recovery than the Etrac.

I was having a look at the CTX 3030 but that machine is 1800 pound. I don't believe that any machine is worth that much.

I hear the Garrett AT Pro is a very nice all terrain machine as well at only a fraction of the cost of a CTX.

Great digs.  We don't see that many of the older coins here in Texas especially in parks.  Historical sites would reveal more but other than private land it's off limits for the most part plus our antiquities law is 50 years old and better.

Thank you Xavier, your decorum is humbling that you've noticed me truant.  I am not given to loitering on the computer much, mostly out of frustration but I do enjoy seeing what others are finding when I do fire up the box.

Computer can be frustrating and even more so if you don't deal with them on a regular basis. I found that they changed so much in a short period of time. I was not involved with computers while I was in Senegal for a period of five years, when I got back to a more normal life I was at a loss with computers, cell phones and software so I can understand your frustration.

Thanks for the comment.  The antiquities act can be a bit of a pain in some areas.  California is the same way if I recall correctly.

The P A S system works well over here, The only down side of it is that its a Bit long winded apart from that It works

Well theres one thing that happens when you buy a detector,,, Suddenly you become interested in History, But when I was in school I thought it was a waste of time because it was in the past and all I was interested was the Future, And the P A S ( Portable Antequities Scheme can Only work if Both Parties want the same thing Like preserving History and in return if they Buy the Item from you then you get something in return,

But it Needs Both Parties to work together,
