Nice One dude, I have just bought my first Garrett 250 (first detector even). Where do you suggest I start to look, if its rings etc I intend to find. I have some good plans and old map on the way for old coins etc.

I defo ain't in this for the money, as me and a mate have bought the 250's out of sheer hisorical interest, but that said it would be nice to earn a couple of quid to pay for itself!!

Thanks Diphot,and welcome.
Like you,the Ace 250 is my first ever detector..you can find stuff from the outset,without having 100`s of "in the field hours" experience.I`m sure you`ve got your own idea`s on where you want to scan....I started out in local parks and wooded area`s,school fields also is great place to learn the "sounds" of the Ace.Do you live near the coast ?...it`s a good place to look for rings and the odd pound coin.
I do like your approach on the historical side of things,U.K. has a great deal of history and you never know what your going to find,..I wish you all the best,and any finds please post so we can be green with envy.lol
