Some are on top of the ground, but I dug 98% of these up yesterday(find5 to 10 coins same hole)   about a 100 yards from were I was yesterday is the older section been open since the 1930 is were the silver is I have found 17 dimes and 3 Quaters  23 wheeties and 4 1943 steele pennys and 2 cool tokens It is crazy to get to.  And my girlfriend does not like me go unless she is there to watch, The area were i found these about 100 yards from that location of the tourist atraction the observation deck was built in 1970 so i have 40 years of coins that are scatered in a debrie field 50 yards east and west by 200+ yards going down hill with ledges .Just started working it last year. And kind of griding it out ,reworked spots I did last year ,only have a window of a couple of months to work it ,weather and there busy season starts around first of may , and the owner preferes me to be there during off season

I live close by and stumbled across it ,found coins up top. Went home took some big washers and put flaging on them and tossed them over the side then climed down .And started digging were they landed .Found one yesterday hanging  on a branch the flag was 4 inches from the ground  I missed last year and directly underneath it found 20 plus coins ,3 laying right on top of the ground.
