Prospect park lake is a 60 acre lake and my destination for the day. Only thing of value was a 1964 dime. The button cleaned up nicely might be brass. I'm trying to clean up the disk, if it's anything interesting I'll post it.

Enjoyed your finds.  Put them on a dark or black background and they will show up a lot better.  Onus

Good looking take. I wouldn't be disappointed with that.

Happy hunting

Hi Frazdad. I used to fish in the Prospect Park Lake when I was a kid, from 1953 to about 1960. I remember "Worm Mountain" made of warm decaying leaves which were full of earthworms for a day of fishing. I see the shell casing, etc. Do you dive in there or detect around the shore in wading depth?

This was the first time I tried detecting around the lake. Stayed on dried land. I would find worms no matter where I dug in the park. I was begining to think they were metalic Grin
