Recovered

There is this large lot where an old housing project was torn down a couple of ears ago. Local hunters have been hitting the lot hard but look what I dug out of it Sunday1942 Washington Quarter.  Dug a 1947 wheatie and some clad.
The token come out of a park in Rondondo Beach (CA) where I stopped for a few minutes break...along with the expected clad.
I also made my first beach hunt....black sand and waves had me going. Found some clad in the hour I had to MD. The weather was beautiful that day and I am planning on returning to the beach as soon as I get me a sand scoop!

Way to go!
I like hitting the "hunted out" places just to find the keepers that get left behind and there are a lot. I hit a local park one summer that I was told had been hunted to death for years. I saw one guy out there every weekend swinging his detector like he was in a competition hunt. I ended up getting just under 100.00 in clad, a few nice silvers, 5 huge referee coins and 2 halves from that place, and I still haven't hit it with my F75 yet.

I always give them hunted-out sites a once-over and usually find something.
