It was really cold and breezy today in Chicago so no metal detecting possibe  for me. Instead passed by a thrift store and decided to take a look around for everything was at a 33-65% discount. No gold jewelry left  Angry . Found some interesting jars and glass items that caught my attention though. For example, the 35th anniversary Red Lobster Lighthouse glass (paid 35 cents) that is selling online for $15; several Avon items (less than $1 each) selling online for $5-10; a few vintage tinted glass depression items selling for $5-30; and a Ball Bicentennial 1776-1976 Celebration fruit jar (paid 35 cents) selling for $8-12 online. Not bad for a casual hunt I think. Some items I may need help with ID and estimated value.

Yup, not bad. I'm planning on hunting thrift stores and garage sales more often. It is amazing the treasures one can find for a few bucks. I like to find memorabilia all glass items like glasses, decanters, jars, mugs, etc.
