I found, lost and refound this buckle.. Eagle is classic 1800's version, left date 1776, right date 1976,,, so I am assuming it is a Centrnnial Celebration piece..Can anyone supply more information? thanks , cordially Nad{alt}

Does the right date have 1876 not 1976 or am I mistaken?
Centennial finds are usually very collectable.

Putting up a picture of the find.Dates are 1776..........1876.. Also found one with a football on it. Were these used by refs?   Thanks and have a good day.. Wife is making disgruntled sounds... Females do that for no reason.. Must be a genetic thing, so AND, I just realized there is about 800 square feet of possible good ground a stone throw from where I'm sitting...OUTTA HERE   Cordially Nad{alt}
