This week the coins are very different than the normal french coins.. I found the following coins: 1950 Monaco 50 france , 1944 alum 2 franc french , 1863 Italian 50 centesimi and a 1897 Russian 1/2 kopek. Would like to post some photos once the problem is resolved in posting (I've tried 3 times).  Coloma Gold

Way to go, Coloma Gold!  And here you were worried about not finding much in France!  You are doing very well.  Look forward to seeing your photos!  Take care and... "Keep on swingin'!"   Detecting

I tried to post another photo... again without success. I don't know what's going on but hopefully someone is able to fix the website so we can post photos....CG

Coloma, did you try re-sizing the photo?  This forum won't allow anything over 500mp to download onto the site.  I don't have the link for it, but it works very well.             Detecting

Arfieboy,

No, I haven't tried re-sizing (don't know how as I have never tried it). The photos are averaging about 5.5 kb(I think). The photos were taken from a standard Sony Cybershot camera, nothing to exotic. Coloma Gold

Other then using the re-sizing program they have here. You can also open it in Paint in windows and re-size there. I normally open the pictures there anyways and crop the pictures some just to show the items only anyways. And if its still too large you also can chose re-size there.

ghola,

Paint may be a good way for those who know how to use it. However, 1) I don't know how to get a photo onto paint/windows; 2) I don't know what size to make the photo; and 3) I don't know how to post it to the web once I have done 1 & 2 above.    Perhaps I will merely wait for Christian and gang to fix the system for us who are not so computer literate.  Coloma Gold
