Go Up Go Down

Howdy again! Yesterday morning I went to a park and the weirdest thing happened. I was digging all the low tones and every time I was just pulling out trash, mostly iron stuff. I once again hit iron 6 inches deep, but this time, hanging off from one of the hole walls (like 4 inches deep) was a very small fragment of something that looked like a very thin gold chain  Shocked. I touched it with my pinpointer and it did not beep. I then proceeded to cautiously dig around it until I was able to pull it out intact  Cheesy . It was indeed the 14kt thin bracelet in the picture below. My MD would not detect it (is it because it is too thin? I don't know) so if it wasn't for that piece of iron junk, I had not found that little nice bracelet.  Great

Nice find! I dig all targets now too or at least go back and dig questionable signals after I dig the good signals. Foiled

The iron signal may have over powered the gold, thats why always check your holes and plugs after you recover the main target. As for your pin pointer I don't know I have never used one but seems odd that it did not go off.

Thanks. That's exactly what I did. Went back to dig all the low tones left behind previously. In addition to the bracelet I had also left behind 20 nickels Cheesy. The only problem with diggin all the hits is too much diggin that drains your energy and consumes your time. But this is the caveat of this hobby I guess!  Undecided

Cool Find!
Dig everything....that's kind of the fail safe of metal detecting.
And have that pin pointer checked out it's not right that it didn't give you a ping.
