Hey nothing to say  Shocked

That one .303 shell with sam on it is as follows:

U or SAM
South African Mint, Pretoria, South Africa... U code from 1939 - 1961 and SAM 1962 onwards. (When U is used with a diamond this represents the Kimberley factory... B, BCMK7, TRGMK2, Semi AP (F Mk 1), Jacketed soft point sporting.

Martinis do not have writing on them......

I will have to look up the others..... but they seem to be from the 1960's..... I think that is what I found also.... although I did find a shell from 1910 with the "U" on it

During the Boer war Kynoch had the No 2 musket.... The shotguns shells are later though....

I must see what I can find for you when I get the chance.......

Hi X,

This is part of the research buddy, finding the find is the beginning..... now find the story behind the finds....

That site of mine seems to be a battle from the Boer war, which would mean that Gen De Wets wife could of been attacked at the farm......

Reality is from the research..... The house was taken over after the Boer War by lawyers..... The cases were all found in a line on the side of the house, like a firing line..... this line pointed towards the mountain in the background..... all the cases, from looking at the marks points to ammunition that was made after the war..... some from 1910.....

What it seems to be is that weapons which were kept from the Boer war time, was used to fire the ammo, but the lawyers shot the ammo after 1910... probably after losing a case or something..... they shot towards the mountain so that nobody would get shot from a stray bullet..... In other words, they were just having fun and games....

Initially, it could of meant De Wets wife was in danger, which could of changed history....... Research on the finds is very interesting... That is where you get the true message from  Great

Now get out there and find my gold  Angry

Found the big shell to be a Number 2 Kynoch Express big game hunting cartridge so that must have been used in the days that there were still elephants in the area.

All the best
