LOL about the sheep!

My first assignment in the UK , I arrived at Heathrow Air Port.

Picked up by a few of my Compadre' they took me to a 900 year old tavern called The Tavern!  Duh!   They fed me this stuff called OLD ROGGERS!  It Turned out to be a Barley Wine.  They would only sell you two.

Tripping over the 1/4 step walking out the Door Proved why!  LOL

The Next day on Post They gave me a Tour of the Antenna Farm.   Farm it was, HF antenna poking up over 10 acres and Mode by Sheep.

They handed me a pair of wellington boots.   Said Your Going to need these because of all the Sheep Poop.

I said Cool.  They even knew what size I needed.

Driving just down the road a few hundred yards we got out of the truck and they said your really need to Don Yer Gear.

I chucked my Combat Boots and went to slip my feet in the Brand New Wellingtons.

Eaaaa? Something was inside them.

On inspection , I found it was a pair of Leather Gloves with the Palms stiched up with Velcro.

Like the Young Dumb fresh Meat I was I ask asked What Ta Hell Is this for.

They Busted Laughing saying Your going to need them to hang on.

Here is What Ya Do!   You Grab a sheep by the Hind Legs, Slip the Legs into the Wellingtons and With Yer Gloves Hang on For Dear Life!

I won't tell about the other parts.  LOL

Ahoy all.
Nice to be back, busy with the exhibition side of things.Welcome Machineman, yahoo we have another Capetonian!
Pgill hope you pull some bc stuff out of the earth on that side hehe maybe a couple of sovereigns old chap? Sure cant wait for the results.
On the hunting side I went out last week looking for a R22000 earring, very little white gold and one fat diamond surrounded by smaller ones.
I had the remaining one as reference but the damn thing gave the faintest of signals, very erratically and bouncing from hotrock to brass type signal and reading.
Anyway I cross referenced it with my mates xterra 50 and it did the same. Makes me think I must have missed tons of good stuff in the past.
I eventually got the T2 to semi stabilize on the earring but I lost a hell of a lot of depth. Very frustrating. I mean I know it was a small little earring with very little metal but I was really expecting a much better signal.
Xavier.....any chance of a diamond detector in the future?
Chat soon and would welcome your feedback and or advice on this experience. Both these machines are usually hot on even the small targets
and all of a sudden  18ct white does this  Huh? ?? UndecidedCry

Viking, It's great to have you back,

Viking, my whites loves those small items see if you can borrow one and get a reading from the other earring
and keep the gain Low coz the losted one will be just under the surface and you wont be bombarded by deep
signals and then you will know what VDIs to look for,

you may have already of done this but I was'nt sure,

AU

Another thing Viking but you must know where it was lost and you will need power is to use a uv light you know the one that you use to check bank notes well any how at night a diamond will reflect the uv light in fact you will see a purple spot where the diamond is that is if it hasn't been stampeded into the ground  Grin or you could buy one of my detectors  Grin Grin Grin or better yet I could come and find it for you  Cool bet Peter would come with me LOL

yeah yeah very Funny! Devil. The reason I posted this little issue is to show all you beginners that even the pros like myself can have difficult situations........hahahaha!!!!!OOH the feedback Im expecting Fight Fight Club.
No, but seriously I was a bit pressed for time and the owner was with me and and and.......Anyway I think its time for me to start harassing family and friends for interesting and different sized jewellery and coins to scan. Could actually be a cool exercise.Scaled photo of item vs a pic of the reading. At various depths and maybe even orientation.......actually you would then be able to really figure out how your machine sees things.
But it s a loooong task...............sounds like a good one for Uncle Pgill!!!!!! Give him something to get his mind off coming back from the UK empty handed...of gold coins that is :Smiley On second thoughts ......didnt he lose his test bed coins?Huh?

And what about all the rest of you guys.....anything interesting found yet?

very frustrating though.....R22000 is no friggin joke if you know what I mean...........so close yet so very far hehe!

I was waiting for you Peter,

That coin I found with the shield on it might be from 1709
BUT it also has a Roman face on the other side,
It might be a coin or it could be a Medal or something simular ?

I'm stuffed if I know, Good day was'nt it Peter
