Xavier the pin ponter do you include a different coil in the head and drive it  seperately when getting close to an object

What I do with the PI detector is place a toggle switch on the search coil but before all that I take a piece of ferrite rod +- 150mm long and a diameter of 10 to 15mm I then measure the inductance and resistance of the search coil, once I have that I wind magnet wire on the ferrite rod till I obtain the same inductance Ho yes I first insulate the rod with some insulation tape but any other way will do. Ones I have the wire on the rod I give it two layers of insulation tape I then measure the resistance and match up the two coils with a resistor in series you now have a matching coil all you need to do now is place the rod in a piece of PVC pipe a little longer than your rod fill the PVC with candle wax place an end cap and you have a fully waterproof pin pointer now all that remains is to connect it to your detector via the toggle switch and voila you have a very handy water proof pin pointer that will detect up to 150mm just remember to have a long enough wire to it. I used the cable from an old mouse and it works like a charm.

I take it that you still watch the news? I stopped doing that some time ago and I feel a lot better now, mind you if he goes on like this he may just get a little help off a cliff from one of his compatriots never know.

That spindle whorl is a weight they was first used over 2500 years ago and they are very hard to date
they were used to spin wool in to yarn that one could be anytime from 800AD to the late 1700s+
it maybe even older, so peter really has got some history there not forgetting his coin thats over
750yrs old.
