Something like that I don't know much EPROM but what I do remember about them is that you had to erase them with a UV light. And EEPROM I know nothing about them.  I would imagine that it stands for Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory.

I remember the radio hams used to write their settings on Eproms and then they would just swap the chip for whatever program they wanted to use  Great not sure if that was a good way, but guess that was the best at the time  Grin all the radio's today are programmable, so changing chips is not necessary anymore  No no!

Hey buddy, that field opposite the Boer war fort near my work has now burnt  Great you need to make sure that deep seeking detector of yours is working. I have gone over the top layer of ground, although you still find stuff, but I think deeper is still full of goodies  Kiss Our next detecting spot, not this weekend, but probably the next......

X's detector finds items so deep that if you fall down the hole, you would break your neck  Wise

Go Up Go Down

Grin Grin The MDX280 sure is a fine machine but it hates the inland soil just too much iron in our soil BUT it loves the beach and to be under water that it where it excels. One day I was detecting on the beach in J-Bay when an elderly man approached me and said, well young man what are you looking for, I told him that I was not looking for anything in particular, so he said well what did you find and I said 5Kg of lead, He said I'm going home to fetch my metal detector (OK cool dude see you later) well one hour later this man came with his detector a VLF type and started to detect in the water but found nothing then got quite disgusted at hearing mine go off all the time and asked me if I could set it up for him (well OK then) I proceeded in setting it up so that it would detect lead then he said that's OK leave it alone. Well I have never figured this guy out till this day and never saw him again.
