Goldnboy, just to let you know... My gold coins are all over the world  Great you now know what to do..... I will send my address to you later so that you can return my coin  Club Thanks for being honest.... not like Xavier who I have heard found 5 of my coins..... But I will deal with him after work  Round About  Amen
As far as the Pigeons..... Well I believe ti was them who stole my first coins as they left their footprints behind.... I do have the FBI looking into that problem as we speak....  Wise
If it is not my coins or cables then it will be something else getting stolen  Angry hold on, wait a moment.... OK own up who stole my underpants  Shocked

On a MORE serious not though, seeing as Xavier is taking so long to get back to the land of Nod  Welcome I was contacted by another chap, fantastic guy who found me on the Net (what a surprise)  Hello Anyway, he lives in Potchefstroom about 1 hour from me and took me around to lots of great sites near the Fredefort Dome... (meteorite impact zone) that was part of the Boer war.... We even went to the house where Gen De Wet hid his wife from the British for safety.... we did detect around a bit.... But the day was mainly for getting permission to detect sites  Great I did find a 5 cent piece from 1976, and a couple of old bottle tops... it was great fun.
This guy is a ametuer archeologist who does arial photography from a gyrocopter... he is very knowledgable with South African history  Clapp

So I will now be having some great trips out I think.... so hold onto your pants  Wink

Xavier, you need to get back up here.... Stop sleeping on the beach like you own it....

Hi Goodday007, great to have you onboard with us..... South Africa, is fantastic although much different to the USA. We battle to find coins, where you guys pick them up on a daily basis.... But we do have some great battle sites to check out, and we are rich in history.... Our beaches are very nice, and some good stuff have been found. So I guess we are not doing to bad, although we are a young country when it comes to detecting.

Hi Silki, wow great to have you back from the bush.... Hope that you are keeping well..... Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY  Musican Laola Circle Shame may you be blessed with many more..... I don't want anymore, I am happy where I am  Grin  Great

Hi Guys
Good to be back for a change. Pgill, that contact you have is excellent I am so damn keen to come up there and hunt with you. I have had the most unbelievable run of bad luck lately. In the last month every piece of essential equipment that I use has in packed up in one way or another. Just so that you don't think I am just flat ignoring all you wonderful folks.
Seems that when I have deleted a few recent posts, my blackberry stops picking up on the thread. I think every one is quiet and actually you have been quite busy here.
Xavier I am waiting on those flies dude!
Happy Birhday Silki.
I'm busy re- organising my life so I am afraid I will be scarce for the next 2 months or so.I must say we have had some excellent rain lately and I think the ground at my site is going to be as soft as butter again. Man did I battle to dig some of those targets this summer!
Any way, still got work to do tonight so I'll sign off now.
Keep well all.
Viking

Pgill, as an aviation fanatic and private pilot......be very carefull of that gyro mate.......the fall like flies all the time. I like them and all but I just thought I'd warn you. I wouldn't fly one!
