I have heard the nickel is the only current u.s coin (so far) that is worth more than face value. They are minted at a loss and worth north of $.07 each. this situation will only get more noticeable with the rise of inflation. found one today as a matter of fact, along with a quarter and two dimes in the same hole. that's a record for me. WHat is the market value of your run-of-the-mill wheatie?

About 3 cents each on the open market. Good dates and better condition coins run more. Sometimes MUCH more.
