Wanted: People Who Helped Bury Plymouth
The Associated Press
Monday, January 22, 2007; 5:14 PM

TULSA, Okla. -- Organizers of a coming out party for a brand new 1957 Plymouth Belvedere could use some help. The car, buried under the lawn of the Tulsa County Courthouse in 1957, is scheduled to be unearthed June 15 as part of the Oklahoma Centennial.

Promoters are looking for people who helped lower the car into its crypt in 1957 to perhaps shed some light on what to expect when the car is unearthed.

There's speculation the car may have turned into a pile of rust. Or that it's in pristine condition and worth thousands of dollars. . . . . . . . .

Smiley Hi Sue,  Nice to see your posts. Thanx for the neat story link. Wink  Let us know how it turns out would ya?  :Smiley  I was just thinking (you know how that can get you into trouble sometimes, eh SS? ) that it would be a really exciting story, if it was a '57 Chevy instead. Grin  Just kiddin', I like plymouths too. Grin Grin

Keep us posted, cutie!  Wink

Exactly my thoughts - why not a cool '57 Chevy? A Plymouth?? LOL I couldn't visualize a '57 Plymouth, but saw the link and I'd wouldn't mind having that no PS/PB hunka heavy metal Smiley

I see they unearthed the car............. looks like a rust bucket in the pix. That Oklahoma red dirt and rust look similiar. Wish they'd have hosed it before they took the pix as the windshield is covered with "rust", too. Sue
