Jeff Kaufmann has created a series of heat maps visualising the cost of apartment rentals in Boston. <a href="

Please Register or Login" style="color: #cc0000;" target="_blank">Boston Apartment Price Maps[/url] uses the Google Maps API to display apartment rental data from padmapper.



The four main heat maps show the relative costs of renting an apartment per room or per bedroom in 2011 and 2013. The maps are therefore not only a great visualisation of the most expensive and cheapest locations to rent an apartment in Boston but show the areas and neighborhoods where rental costs are rising or falling.

It looks like Jeff's map has started a bit of a trend. Rent Heat Map has used Jeff's code to create similar heat maps for apartment rates in Toronto and San Francisco.
