hi did anybody catch the news last night about the somerset ,man who found a huge hoard of roman silver coins 52,000 of them what a find

Hi S,
Couple of links to the story on here over the past couple of days.
Estimated value is apparently 3.3 million!
I guess we are very very lucky to be living here in the U.K. as any one of us is likely to stumble on something like this.
I would think that there is still more than enough to be found given our history.
The way things seem to be going hoards of one type or another are coming to light at the rate of half a dozen or so annually.
Better odds than the lottery!
Can't wait until harvest is over to get out on some of the ploughed stuff!

Hi Paul i think you are right mate these finds seem to be getting more and more frequent i live in plymouth devon and there is a lot of history connected to this area just finding the the spot i guess like they say though you dont know till you try good luck
