This is about a UK metal detectorist who found a "posie" ring dating back to the 16th century and, while it wasn't a significant find, was declared treasure and is now in a museum. It perfectly fit his girlfriend and she adored the love ring he'd found. The couple hoped to keep the ring. When they couldn't, he had a replica, with the same inscription, made from the reward, for his 21st century sweetheart. Pictures.

Well,at least the ring has some more history to it, too bad they had to give it up, but then again , now they are part of the ring's history Smiley
