Vietnam demands return of stolen artifacts from US museum
      


via Vietnam Express, 23 August 2023: The Denver Art Museum is being requested by the Department of Cultural Heritage to return stolen Vietnamese artifacts, with governments of Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia inquiring about artifacts held without proper export permits.

this is a topic that came up in every nation...

take Italy for example:
- we have "stolen" (Roman Empire not yesterday) obelisk and everything from other places.. I remember even columns on church in some place are taken by temples in middle est during crusades..
- they "stolen" from us everything... just look at Napoleon...

I think the word "stolen" is not politically correct but this is... and in those times taking things from other were the everyday business..
maybe instead of make legal battles some of the artefacts and things could be exchanged from nations.. just as a good action between friends.
