... unfortunately the site was unreachable for several hours today as the data center network had been under attack. A so called DDOS attack was performed where a large amount of artifical traffic is generated in order to bring down the network.

The problem has however been fixed meanwhile. Sorry for any inconvience caused by this.

It was an attack on the whole network / datacenter, not on our server in particular.

I was on when it went off,so i went round a mates for a cuppa. I was gonna show him the site,but it was still down........so we went detecting instead. Had a few old and modern coins and a couple of unidentifed pieces of possibly bronze from some old river mud from the thames that we have permission to look through. we were hoping for romans,but no luck there.
