Does anyone know where to find US coins made prior to 1965?

Only thing I can think of is OLD places.

Older Parks, Fair Grounds, Swimming Holes, Homes and the likes.

The best way to find pre-1965 coins is to identify the popular pre-1970 gathering spots in your area.   Stay out of neighborhoods built after 1970 unless you know that there was a swimming hole, picnic area, or some similar "out in the country" meeting spot that was popular before the neighborhood was built.

My son gave me $120.00 in coins to change for bills and I found a number of pre-1965 pennies, including a 1957 wheat penny, and some nickels. So always look at your change also. e-bay is also a good place to look, although be careful hunting for old coins there.
