Hello, looking for on Internet a L/C meter to measure the coils, i found this web that have a very simple L/C meter to build with a pic.
The proyect is complete with the scheme, PCB board and calibration of the instrument.

In the english version the designer use a 16F84 and a LM311 Amp Op, in the spanish version there is a modification in the scheme, they use a 16F628 and the LM311 is not used, because they use the internal comparator in the 16F628.
I hope this will be usefull for someone.

Dluca, this one is a bit easier and costs only $21.88 including shipping. Ready to use out of the box.

The one I specified is cheaper and easier since you don't have to build it or own another meter. Why make it so hard?

Maybe because some of us don't live in that particular country or:
Already have a MM and don't need another...

And from what I can see the inductance is all wrong for us detector builders - Inductance: 20mH ~ 20H (100Hz) I build the one that Dluca posted the link to the only thing that I did to it was reduce the size of the board so that it would be the same size as the display works pretty well too. I posted it on the forum some time ago.

Ok, Xavier.

I builded the inductance meter today and works fine for me, I tested an inductor of 100uH, and the measure in the instrument was 98.95uH, I think that this is a good presicion.
I will post pictures of the instrument.
Regards,

There are very few countries bereft of a post office but a lot of detectorists who build an item that works just like a $22.00 item for $50.00 and think they saved money when they also have to have a $50.00 multimeter to use their "bargain."

Paul, I merely suggested a very economical alternative to building one. Contrary to popular belief here on these forums, building one yourself is not always cheaper, better or faster. A wrongly connected component can result in a hundred posts here trying to fix it.

Granted...
But some of us just love making stuff!
I wouldn't think that would cost more than a few dollars.
Most of it in constructors "junk" boxes!
