I refuse to do Pay Pale but there was some goodies on Ebay I would love to get.

Well, you are mired in predisposition my friend. PayPal is as safe as can be. Up to $5,000 for individual items is covered and up to $20,000 for real estate and vehicles. That's an instant refund should you be defrauded in any way. As an individual user, there is no user fee. For a business user, there is a fee of 1.5% or 2.0% depending on the amount. You do not need a credit card to use it.

I'm sure you feel like some folk hero standing tall against the corporate giant known as PayPal but you are certainly missing out on a great deal, mate. One other thing. You can buy things via PayPal without having an account. A seller who is a business user can accept credit cards or bank deposits without you even having to give your name. There is a drawback to this, though. Your address comes from eBay when you do it this way and if you are one of those paranoid fools who refuses to put your address there, you have to make 4 or 5 e-mail exchanges to get it to the seller.

Such is life.

I had a Pay Pal account twice and They kept messing with me trying to use it.

They Over Charge for The Seller and the Buyer.

Life will go on just fine without them.

Mate, they cannot overcharge anyone because they charge ZERO for transactions. You must be thinking of something else. If you are a business seller, you do get charged but individual sellers do not. I'd also like to know how they "messed" with you. I've been using PayPal for over 15 years now without a hitch. I have a US personal account and an Australian business account. I use them for buying, selling and money transfers between banks. The banks charge $40.00 to transfer money between Australia and the US. PayPal charges nothing. Zip. Nada.

Actually, it is a worry because you are stating things that PayPal doesn't do. They do not charge either the buyer or the seller unless you are a commercial seller. Then you pay, not the buyer. And how did they "mess" with you? I really think you have a beef with some other form of payment and you are confusing it with PayPal the best system out there for moving money around.

Twice I had claims due to faulty merchandise from two different sellers who quit e-Bay. Both times, I had a full refund in 4 days time.

Here's something else. I can send you money by PayPal and you can request a bank check be sent to you. No strain, no pain. Their services are without equal on the Internet because they make safety a non issue. Seriously.

They kept locking my account following Missing the Pass Word or other crap.

They Do Charge Fees to the Buyer.  How else would they make money?

Just more a Pain then I need to deal with.

Debit Card, Postal Money Orders all work for me.

E-Bay has pretty much Gone Straight Pay Pal and I have a thing about being Guided or Roped .

If it works for you, Be a happy Camper.

They make their money by having $1.25 billion in assets held on any given day. The interest on that is enormous. Only the seller pays a fee. On your own link, it says there is no fee to pay for something. I see now even individual sellers have a fee but that is very new. I stand corrected on that.

Losing your password is not a PayPal problem, Homefire. Probably a senior moment of epic proportion. LoL
